Engaging Catering Services
Step One
Within two to three days of your first contact Coreen will meet with you and or the
persons in charge of your event. The meeting will be at Coreen's home or your home,
particularly if the event takes place at your residence. The initial meeting could
last 1-3 hours. The purpose of the meeting is for Coreen to understand what you have
in mind for the event. Nothing is as straight forward as just a wedding, for even
weddings come in different sizes and themes. This is truly an information gathering
session for Coreen and a time for you to get some initial questions answered. You will
receive valuable information, about menu options and other event details, such as
other vendors information that will make your planning much more easy and enjoyable.
Information For Coreen Rivet Catering
- How many guests will be attending?
- When is the event? The time of the year of the event occurs determines
the type of food. An all cold menu in the summer months has proven to be very
successful and enjoyable for the quests.
- What is the type of food your quests will eat? This is a very important
question. Is your group a beef or a chicken and fish group? Are there vegetarians?
Are they adventurous or are they simply a meat and potato group?
- Is liquor being served, what kind and when? This can determine how early
we serve food.
At this point Coreen can suggest some possible menus. One very important thing that
she that advises you on is selecting foods taste good together.
Another decision is the weight of the meal. Will it be: light appetizers with a heavy
meal, heavy appetizers with a light meal, or possibly all appetizers with a few main
courses made into appetizers? The alternatives are endless and nothing is impossible.
You can add, delete or combine any of the alternatives in order to stay within the
budget you have planned for the event.
By the end of this meeting you will feel totally at ease with Coreen and her ability
to do everything to make your day perfect and worry free.
Step Two
A quote is developed and sent to you with as many options as discussed. At
this point you can ask questions and/or make any changes to the menu.
Step Three
Once the quote is accepted the date is locked in. At this point preparation
begins for the staffing lineup - servers, bartenders, dishwashers - for the event.
Step Four
Two to three weeks before the event Coreen will contact you and stay in touch
with you before the event. She stays in close contact with the person handling
rentals so nothing is forgotten on the rental list. She works diligently to make
sure that you are completely calm with regards to the catering and are looking
forward to the special event.
